As a leading provider of precision pins and contacts, to the connector industry, we leveraged our collective knowledge to create a high speed precision wire decoiler to support the forming operations of a metal stamping company.
Our mechanical and electrical engineering staff first created preliminary design models, which transitioned over time into a detailed equipment specification, including 3D models, schematics, and a functional description. Having extensive in-house fabrication resources enabled us to transform the raw materials into tight tolerance components and weld them to form a decoiler with extreme structural stability. We also did all of the electrical wiring, programming, as well as extensive inspection and operational testing.
We delivered this custom turnkey solution with a narrow 16-week time frame. Featuring dimensions of 8' in length x 4' in width, it includes many productivity enhancing features and an operator friendly, low maintenance design.
